How a hectic lifestyle impacts our health

In this modern world we live in, everything is to be done in an instant. From rushing to meet deadlines, to hopping from place to place, we can never seem to catch a break. Our hectic lifestyles come at a cost, as we compromise on sleep, exercise, and a healthy diet.

Lack of sleep

Having insufficient rest might initially lead to poor performances at work, a foul mood and weakened cognitive functions.   • Heart disease

A lack of sleep (less than 6 hours per night) might lead to several heart conditions such as high blood pressure, coronary heart disease and stroke.
Our blood pressure falls when we sleep. With less sleep, our heart works longer and harder, thus resulting in a higher blood pressure.
